Eye patients ask "am I eligible?". Clinics that handle the answer badly lose the patient and the trust.
Missing details, high expectations
The patient says "I want laser" without sending a prescription or old report. No pre-assessment is possible, and final eligibility is left to on-arrival tests.
Surprises on arrival
When tests lead to a different method, the patient is unprepared. If that possibility wasn't explained early, satisfaction and reputation suffer.
Check-ups scattered abroad
Post-op check-ups happen in the patient's home country; reports get lost in email and the clinic never hears the outcome.
From LASIK to lens replacement, every enquiry is tracked by procedure, prescription and eligibility.
Eye patients are often torn between laser and lens options and want to know if they qualify. In MedicalGrow the enquiry is tagged with the procedure, prescriptions and previous reports are collected, and the message that final decisions follow in-clinic tests is explained consistently.
- Common procedures: LASIK / Femto-LASIK, LASEK / PRK, SMILE, ICL (implantable contact lens), multifocal (trifocal) lens, cataract surgery, cross-linking for keratoconus
- Typical questions: am I eligible for laser, laser or lens, how long do I stay, when can I fly, will I still need glasses
- The ophthalmologist decides eligibility: Conversation AI never diagnoses or quotes a final price — it asks for prescriptions and reports and books a pre-assessment
- Add clinic-specific instructions, such as pausing contact lens wear before the exam, to the knowledge base
- Femto-LASIK / LASIK
- SMILE
- Multifocal (trifocal) lens
- Cataract
- ICL

Eye-specific fields on every patient record.
Prescription, contact lens use and eligibility outcome can't be reported on — or reach the right person — if they sit in a notes box. In MedicalGrow you define them as custom fields, then filter and report on them.

Prescriptions and eye reports, in the one place the doctor looks.
When a patient sends their prescription and previous eye reports by WhatsApp or email, the attachments stay in the conversation history on their record. In-clinic test results and check-up reports from home are gathered in the patient's Media Storage folder.
- Conversation attachments are kept with the patient record, and post-op reports join the same history
- Patient folders in Media Storage, with pre-assessment and check-up documents in one place
- Use roles and permissions to limit access to health data to the people who need it
- Review consent and retention policies for KVKK and GDPR with us during setup

WhatsApp · Dutch
Talk to eye patients from Europe and the Gulf in their own language.
Turkey-based eye clinics commonly see patients from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Austria, as well as the Gulf states. Explaining the eligibility process clearly, in the patient's language, sets the right expectations.
Country and source tags
Market and campaign sit on the record, so you can manage budget by market.
Agents by language
English, German, Dutch or Arabic-speaking agents see their own patients; assignment rules are configured during setup.
Replies across time zones
Conversation AI gives the first reply out of hours, asks for the prescription and suggests a pre-assessment; an agent takes over in the morning.
Any channel
WhatsApp, Instagram DM, Messenger, web chat and email in one shared inbox — messages with family members stay on the same record too.

Frequently asked questions
How do we handle a patient who turns out not to be eligible on arrival?+
Record the test result and the recommended alternative in the "Eligibility outcome" field. Explaining from the first message — through the knowledge base and saved replies — that the final decision follows in-clinic tests sets the right expectation, and reports show these outcomes separately.
Will the AI assistant tell a patient they are eligible for laser?+
No. Conversation AI does not decide eligibility, diagnose or quote final prices. It shares general information about methods, asks for prescriptions and reports, books a pre-assessment and hands over to an agent when needed.
Where do we store check-up reports from the patient's home country?+
When the patient sends the report by WhatsApp or email, the attachment stays in the conversation history on their record. You can also add it to the patient's Media Storage folder for an organised archive.
With cataract patients, a family member often does the talking. How do we track that?+
Store the companion's or relative's name and phone as custom fields on the patient record. Conversations are visible in the shared inbox, so the team sees who they spoke with and what was shared.
Is there an extra fee for doctors and optometrists?+
No. MedicalGrow has no per-user fees — doctors, optometrists, coordinators and assistants are added as unlimited users. You decide who sees what with permissions.
