Definition
A treatment plan is the doctor's personalised recommendation based on the patient's photos, X-rays or examination. It usually lists the procedures, the number of sessions and length of stay, the price and what's included (transfers, hotel, check-ups).
In medical tourism the plan is often sent remotely after a consultation, and it's the document that most influences the patient's decision.
Why it matters for clinics
Many patients go quiet after receiving a treatment plan. That silence usually isn't a "no"; it's an open question or objection. Seeing in the pipeline when each plan was sent and whether anyone followed up is the most direct way to reduce those losses.
Example
After the consultation, a dental clinic sends the treatment plan as a PDF on WhatsApp and moves the patient to the "Treatment plan sent" stage. The file is attached to the patient record; if there's no reply after three days, the agent calls to answer any questions.
